Location and Class Descriptions
Unless otherwise noted, all classes, performances, and camps will be held at On Stage School of the Arts located at 10024 Demia Way, Florence KY 41042 (off of Mt. Zion road, near Sport of All Sorts).
DRAMA 101, 201 & 301
We offer drama classes at all levels. All Drama class sessions will end with a classroom presentation.
Drama 101 is for beginners…those who would like to see what drama is all about. Students will learn techniques through Drama Games, Exercises, Acting Techniques and more. Ages: 2nd – 5th Grade
Drama 201 is open to those who have either taken Drama classes before, performed in shows and who are a little more skilled in drama. We will incorporate scene work, monologues, drama exercises and Improv. Ages: 4th – 7th
Drama 301 will appeal to those students who are experienced in the above and would like to explore a more serious class. Students in 301 will explore acting in serious dramatic scenes, monologues and learn to express themselves dramatically. Ages: 6th and up
ART CLASSES
Students will explore many art forms in class. Beginners will learn basic drawing skills and then move on to watercolors. Each week, students will learn about a new artist and their technique – and then incorporating those techniques into their own work – creating a unique style.
Ages: 3rd Grade and up
Crafts Class: Classes will vary including Polymer Clay, Eco Art, Knitting and Crocheting. These classes will be offered based on demand. If interested, please leave us a comment on our Contact Page.
WORKSHOPS
We believe in continuing education at On Stage School of the Arts and so we offer Master Classes from time to time. Professional actors, dancers and singers will offer one day workshops or classes in their field of expertise. Age group and skill levels will vary.
Audition Prep: We are happy to work with those who are preparing for an audition either in school or another theater. We will work with students on an individual basis. Sessions are typically one hour and will involve working on monologue chosen by student and/or song. Please contact us to book a session.
Dance Audition Prep: These classes typically run 4-6 weeks. A professional instructor will teach small groups several dance routines that they will normally encounter at an audition.
GROUP VOCAL CLASSES
These classes are for students who love to sing and want to learn better singing habits and techniques. Classes are open to ages 3rd Grade – 8th (classes may be broken up into two age groups). Classes will run 8 – 10 weeks and at the end of the session, students will perform a vocal showcase of songs learned.
Private Vocal Instruction is also available.
SUMMER DRAMA CAMPS
Every summer, On Stage School of the Arts will offer a variety of drama camps for ages 1st – 8th Grades. Students will attend camp everyday for 5 days and at the end of the week perform in a musical theater performance! Summer Camps are typically listed on the website in February.
VOICE LESSONS AND VARIOUS MUSIC LESSONS
On Stage School of the Arts also offers individual voice lessons and various music lessons. Prices, days and times vary with instructor.
